Forge Digital is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate production infrastructure and CI/CD platforms across hybrid cloud environments. You will own production systems for diverse client projects and guide DevOps practices, mentoring teammates.

What we look for

As a (Senior) DevOps Engineer at Forge, you will design, build, and operate infrastructure and CI/CD platforms for our customer projects - taking ownership of production environments across hybrid cloud environments. Your day-to-day involves Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and continuously improving system reliability and security. Our projects serve sectors where system uptime and reliability are not optional. As a senior member of the team, we also expect you to guide technical decisions, mentor colleagues, and help improve our DevOps practices.

How to forge success in this role

To succeed in this role, you bring solid, hands‑on experience - we expect at least five years of professional work in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles. The following capabilities are what we consider essential:

• Linux System Administration: Solid hands‑on experience maintaining and troubleshooting Linux environments, especially in a cloud context
• AWS: Understanding of core AWS services, infrastructure deployment, cloud networking, security and best-practice architectures
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform for provisioning cloud resources and Ansible for configuration management and automation workflows. We also use Python and Bash for task automation and scripting
• CI/CD Tooling: Experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, including work with runners, containerized build environments, and pipeline configurations
• Communication & Customer Interaction: As a senior engineer in a consultancy setting, you are comfortable communicating with clients and collaborating across teams.

The following experience is considered an advantage:

• Strong Git skills and prior experience with GitLab, including GitLab CI/CD
• Experience running and maintaining a self‑managed GitLab environment
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Willingness to run maintenance procedures outside of normal working hours when needed
