Job Description

As a Senior Data Analyst on our Data & Insights team, you'll be a key player in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You'll leverage your strong analytical skills and technical expertise to uncover trends, build insightful reports, and contribute to the evolution of our data capabilities.

You'll be responsible for taking data from various sources, preparing it for analysis, and extracting meaningful information. Your role will involve understanding complex business challenges and proactively identifying how data can provide solutions and improve outcomes.

A crucial aspect of this role is collaboration. You'll work closely with stakeholders across different departments, understanding their needs and translating them into data requirements and analytical solutions. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data. We're looking for someone who is eager to continuously learn and apply new analytical techniques and tools to enhance our data analysis processes.

Main Job Duties

Your role would include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data-driven solutions and insights.
  • Develop and maintain insightful dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate key trends and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Design and execute complex data analyses to address key business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Play an active role in establishing and upholding robust data quality processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets, while also maintaining data security.
  • Optimize and refine existing data processes, reports and dashboards for maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Lead and actively participate in discussions around data strategy and analytical approaches for various initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and training initiatives within the Data & Insights team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, finance/economics, or a related area.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business questions into solvable data problems.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language for data analysis (e.g., Python with libraries like Pandas, NumPy; or R)
  • 5+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar
  • Hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling, transformation and managing data pipelines
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and working with large datasets
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and modeling techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to present complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
