Job summary

IQM Finland Oy is seeking a Senior Partnership Manager, Cryogenic Components, to build and manage partnerships that secure cryogenic components for scalable quantum hardware.

You will work with engineering, procurement, and the Senior Partnership Manager, Electronics, to align IQM’s hardware roadmap with suppliers while contributing to an international grant project. Expect 65% partnerships and 35% grant work.

Qualifications

• MSc in physics, electrical engineering, microwave engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in quantum hardware, cryogenics, low temperature physics or the microwave industry, including 2+ years in partnerships/supplier management.
• Strong understanding of dilution refrigerators, heat loads, thermalisation and cryogenic RF/microwave components.
• Fluent English and able to communicate with partners, researchers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify cryogenic technology gaps and advise whether to build internally, partner or buy.
• Find and evaluate suppliers and technology partners based on performance, capacity, supply security and support for larger quantum systems.
• Lead partner relationships, define project scopes, timelines and deliverables, track progress against milestones.
• Negotiate partnership, supply, confidentiality and IP agreements with legal and procurement.
• Map critical supply dependencies, qualify alternative suppliers and reduce reliance on single sources for essential cryogenic components.
• Coordinate hardware roadmap work within the grant project and present results within IP limits.
• Follow emerging technologies and market developments and share progress with engineering teams and leadership.
