As a Senior Software Developer at WithSecure, you will be at the forefront of creating highly scalable Python and NodeJS backends in AWS that power our WithSecure Elements platform. Working within an agile team environment, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and delivering new features that help secure businesses against modern threats. Your responsibilities will also include contributing to the DevOps processes, ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of critical production systems. This role demands a balance of technical expertise, collaboration, and problem-solving, as we work together to build solutions that address the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Python and NodeJS backends in AWS for the WithSecure Elements platform
• Collaborate within an agile team to iterate on ideas and deliver solutions efficiently
• Implement and oversee DevOps processes to ensure the smooth operation of production systems
• Continuously learn to stay current in software development

What are we looking for?

• A software developer with extensive technical skills in AWS (3+ years)
• Proficient in Python and NodeJS ecosystems, with extensive experience in infrastructure as code, serverless solutions, and working with docker containers
• Proficient in thoughtfully applying AI tools in coding
• Experienced with high scalability systems
• Quality approach to development and know-how in software testing automation
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle complex challenges
• Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to team environments, including pair programming
• A passion for continuous improvement and staying ahead in technology
• A willingness to share knowledge and insights with the team and share best practices
• Not for remote-only applicants (this is a hybrid position in Helsinki/Finland or Oulu/Finland)

• Experience with modern build and deployment pipelines, for example, GitHub actions
