Job summary

Outokumpu is seeking a data engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and modern lakehouse architectures. You will integrate data from SAP, databases and cloud platforms, optimizing pipelines and ensuring governance and security.

The role collaborates with analytics and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions. Flexible working arrangements apply; salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data engineering and enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, PySpark, SQL and Delta Lake.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, Synapse and Azure Functions.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and modern lakehouse architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills.

What you'll do

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, PySpark and SQL.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in data engineering and enterprise data platforms.


• Hands‑on expertise with Databricks, PySpark, SQL and Delta Lake.


• Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, Synapse and Azure Functions.


• Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and modern lakehouse architecture.


• Experience with CI/CD, Git and Azure DevOps.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks Lakeflow, Delta Live Tables or streaming architectures.


• Knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure automation.


• Experience supporting AI/ML, GenAI or RAG data solutions.


• Experience modernizing legacy data warehouses or integrating SAP data.

Salary range in Finland: 4,260 - 5,330. gross. Final offer depends on candidate experience and competence.
