Job summary

Lokki Henkilöstöpalvelut Oy is seeking a Senior Android Developer for a banking-sector client in Finland. You will design, implement and maintain Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and migrate legacy UI to Compose while refactoring UI components.

You will drive frontend best practices and test automation, collaborating with designers, backend engineers, QA, architects and business experts to deliver customer-centric mobile solutions. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Kotlin.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Solid experience in Android application development.
• Strong experience with Git.
• Good working knowledge of Java.
• Experience working with IntelliJ IDEA.
• Good working knowledge of Gradle.
• Material Design.
• View/XML-based Android UI development.
• Experience with Espresso and automated UI testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Lead and contribute to the modernization of existing applications by migrating legacy UI to Compose and updating UI components.
• Drive frontend engineering best practices, ensuring maintainable, scalable, and reusable mobile solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated UI tests using Espresso and improve test automation coverage.
• Create and maintain unit tests and other verification activities to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, QA engineers, architects, and business experts to deliver customer-centric mobile solutions.
