Job summary

Convergint Finland Oy seeks an experienced security systems professional to test, commission and support data center security projects both on-site and off-site at critical stages. The role involves coordinating between project teams and client IT, guiding installation, configuration, and remote network setup, and travel across Nordic countries.

You will troubleshoot IT/network issues, assist sales/design with technical bids, and contribute to ongoing customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience with security systems.
• Visible ability to plan, install and maintain networked security solutions.
• Formal training and vendor certifications in relevant security platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for installation teams and coordinate commissioning activities.
• Work with project teams and client IT to ensure scope is planned and executed.
• Troubleshoot IT/network issues on projects and support service calls as needed.
• Assist sales and design teams with technical bid proposals.
• Act as a trusted service provider to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate to resolve system operation or maintenance problems.
• Identify new tools to improve productivity and implement them with the team.
• Perform technical tasks across multiple projects including programming, startup, testing, and training.
• Identify project risks and help implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with PM/Engineering Manager on project scope and quality improvements.
• Prepare submittal booklets with schematics and technical literature.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job description

Working collaboratively with the Operations team, off site and on site at critical project stages to test and commission data center security systems. Responsibilities may include overseeing installation, configuration, and supporting clients with remote network configuration. lability to all system users and performs necessary maintenance to support network availability on assigned projects. Will require travel in Nordic countries.

Job Responsibilities:

1. 1. Providing technical guidance and support for the installation teams, configures, and supports a wide variety of network systems and equipment. Ensuring and managing a robust and smooth commissioning of the project by Coordinating between the PM/ Engineers and the Contractors aligned with the clients prescribed commissioning processes. Preparing and maintaining commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.
2. 2. Works directly with project teams and on occasion client IT departments to ensure all scope and interface is planned and implemented.
3. 3. Assists all colleagues with IT/networking technical issues on projects. Occasionally supporting Convergint service team with IT/networking service calls, providing diagnostic and troubleshooting support for possible problems including debugging software, installation problems etc.
4. 4. Assists the sales and design teams with developing bid proposals as a subject matter expert, providing a wide variety of technical advice as required for system planning and implementation.
5. 5. Always acts as our customers best service provider thereby ensuring Convergint is the customers first choice for service.
6. 6. Consults with colleagues to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance.
7. 7. Reviews and identifies new products & tools to improve productivity and efficiencies. Implements these ideas with the rest of the project team.
8. 8. Executes many of the technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets including, programming, graphics development, start-up, certification testing, Factory Acceptance testing customer training, close-out documentation, and on-going technical support etc.
9. 9. Identifies potential project risks, communicates to appropriate parties, and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to minimize impact and to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
10. 10. Works closely with the Project Manager and/or Engineering Manager and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendations regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
11. 11. May prepare and/or review formal submittal booklets, containing schematics, and technical literature as necessary to support assigned tasks/jobs.
12. 12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Experience Requirements:

1. Minimum of 2 years experience with security systems.

Education, Certifications & Licenses:

Must possess three or more of the following certifications. Other network and/or industry certifications or experience may be substituted where appropriate. Must have valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
