A leading technology company in Helsinki is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to coach multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a multi-team environment, strong facilitation skills, and relevant certifications. This role will involve fostering a culture of continuous learning and supporting LeSS adoption within the organization. Join a dynamic team committed to building sustainable solutions and transforming marine technology.
Wärtsilä is a world leader in marine technology and leading the industry's transformation towards a decarbonised and sustainable future. With the world’s widest portfolio and service network, we – Wärtsilians - deliver efficient, safe and sustainable integrated products and solutions to enhance the business of our customers. The opportunities presented through digitalisation and new technologies are offering a new era of shipping. We want to change the course towards an interconnected and cleaner maritime future and are constantly on the lookout for future-oriented talent to join our team and to work towards enabling sustainable societies through innovation in technology and services - together. Are you ready to jump onboard?
We are seeking a Scrum Master who will act as an agile coach, change agent, and teacher — helping not only teams but also the wider organization to make incremental changes with the goal of improving the overall product development capabilities in Wärtsilä’s Digital Product Development organization. We are currently in our third year of a thoughtful adoption of the LeSS framework in which we strive to simplify organizational complexity while implementing our own unique people-centric ways of working.
Digital Product Development (DPD) develops digital products for Wärtsilä’s Marine and Energy business units. One of our well-known products is Wärtsilä Expert Insight, which uses real-time vessel engine data to detect and predict maintenance needs. To collect and process operational data, DPD develops Edge solutions by using common technology stack in development work. Currently, DPD consists of 120+ product developers organized into 11 teams. We have several scrum masters who support these teams, and one PO who sets the vision and direction in which the teams develop our products. As a department, we are very flat and promote actively non-hierarchical, agile ways of working. We have an amazing team and we are excited about our work and the impact it has—building sustainable societies. We are looking to find a colleague with this shared passion for smart technologies and a sustainable future.
We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility for our work. We support each other’s growth and co-creation is the true basis of our innovation. We have courage to see opportunities and take initiative. We are authentic and honest, and we strongly believe that by being your own true self you can accomplish so much more. We don’t always get it right the first time; mistakes are made, we learn and grow from them. We want everyone to voice their opinions freely. That is why we have built an environment that empower you and everyone around you, and where you can feel safe and cared for. Are you eager to be part of this ambition?
