Job summary

Affix Scaffolding Europe Oy is establishing its Finnish operations in Hyvinkää to manage import, storage, logistics, sales and rental of scaffolding systems and related equipment.

The role focuses on maintaining, inspecting and organizing scaffolding equipment, with regular coordination across Finland and overseas teams to ensure smooth deliveries and stock accuracy. Candidates should have relevant technical experience and be able to work independently in a physically demanding role.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience with scaffolding or construction equipment.

Job description

Affix Scaffolding Europe Oy is establishing its Finnish operations in Hyvinkää for the import, storage, logistics, sales and rental of professional scaffolding systems and related equipment.

The Hyvinkää site includes approximately 10,000 m² of operating and storage area, approximately 300 m² of covered shed/workshop space, and additional container-based storage.

We are recruiting two Scaffolding Equipment Maintenance & Logistics Technicians to support and manage the daily handling, inspection, maintenance, storage and inventory control of scaffolding equipment.

This is a technical logistics role requiring previous experience with scaffolding, construction equipment or comparable technical products.

Main responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading and checking incoming deliveries.
• Identifying scaffolding components and verifying quantities against shipment documents.
• Inspecting equipment for damage, wear and defects.
• Carrying out maintenance, repair and basic metalwork where required.
• Organising scaffolding equipment in the yard, covered areas and storage containers.
• Maintaining stock and inventory records.
• Preparing and loading customer deliveries.
• Maintaining tools, workshop and storage areas.
• Supporting the development of warehouse and maintenance processes.
• Following occupational safety and company procedures.

International coordination

The role includes regular communication with Affix manufacturing, sourcing, supply‑chain and back‑office teams outside Finland, including teams in India. Coordination may relate to shipments, packing lists, product codes, quality issues, damaged equipment, stock discrepancies, replacement components and delivery planning. Previous experience working with international manufacturing, logistics, sourcing, supply‑chain or back‑office teams is therefore important.

Required experience and skills

• Relevant experience with scaffolding, construction equipment, structural‑metal products or comparable technical equipment.
• Experience in inspection, maintenance, repair, warehousing or logistics.
• Ability to identify components and understand product compatibility.
• Experience maintaining stock or inventory records.
• Ability to read shipment and product documentation.
• Sufficient English for daily international communication.
• Ability to work independently and perform physically demanding work.

Considered an advantage

• Experience with Ringlock, Cuplock or similar scaffolding systems.
• Scaffolding‑industry experience.
• Metalworking or welding skills.
• Forklift experience.
• Experience with warehouse‑management systems.
• Car driving licence (Category B).
• Experience in international import, export or container logistics.
