Job summary

Hitachi Energy Finland Oy in Vaasa, Finland is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Grid Automation team. You will be responsible for engineering definitions, system configuration, and HMI creation in SCADA/DMS environments, while supporting commissioning and on-site trainings for customers.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc/MSc in IT or electrical engineering with experience in MicroSCADA X and related tools, strong problem-solving skills, and fluency in English and Finnish.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in information technology or electrical engineering.
• Project execution experience.
• Ability to solve complex problems, learn quickly and innovate.
• Experienced knowledge with MicroSCADA Pro, MicroSCADA X, SDM600, IET600, RTU5xx, Cyber Security.
• Good communication and presentation skills in Finnish and English.
• Swedish is an advantage.
• Good customer interface skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Engineering including purchasing definitions, system configuration, and process database building for MicroSCADA X control systems.
• Participate in commissioning and customer trainings on site.
• Provide technical support to the sales organization and customers to improve project execution and satisfaction.
• Collaborate across organizational levels in an intercultural environment.
