Job summary

Meyer Turku, a leading shipyard in Finland, seeks an Experienced SAP Platform & Service Manager to own and govern SAP-related services across ERP, HR and financial systems. The role focuses on end-to-end service model ownership, vendor coordination, ITIL-aligned processes, and ongoing platform upgrades in a SAP S/4HANA environment, including planned private cloud adoption.

The position requires strong communication in Finnish and English, with experience managing multi-supplier environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in SAP Basis, SAP Technical Operations, or SAP Platform Management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP landscapes, integrations, transport management, and platform operations.
• Knowledge of IT service management practices (ITIL, SLAs).
• Experience with supplier management, SLA governance, and service reviews.
• Experience working with external vendors and multi-supplier environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices.
• Proactive, organized and business-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Strong communication skills in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end SAP service model, support processes and service governance.
• Lead vendor and contract management for multiple partners (development, AMS).
• Coordinate incident, change, and problem management processes in line with ITIL practices.
• Ensure clear communication during changes and incidents and conduct regular service reviews.
• Oversee SAP platform operations, technical changes, upgrades, performance and capacity management.
• Review and approve SAP service requests, provisioning requirements, and technical operational activities.
• Coordinate client administration, system copies, refreshes, connectivity, certificates, interfaces, and transport infrastructure.
• Encourage business and cross IT collaboration, identify obstacles in service delivery and help teammates to overcome them.
• Support ongoing and upcoming projects, changes, and upgrades.

Meyer Turku is currently ongoing a highly exciting phase of growth and transformation. Meyer Turku SAP transformation is one of the largest ongoing SAP transformation programs in Finland.

We are looking for an Experienced SAP Platform & Service Manager to own and govern our SAP‑related services. Our team is responsible for corporate functions including SAP ERP, HR and financial systems. We collaborate closely with business units, other IT domains, and external partners. Our main environment is SAP S/4HANA and in 2027 we will start using SAP Private cloud.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Owning the end-to-end SAP service model, support processes and service governance.

• Lead vendor and contract management for multiple partners (development, AMS), ensuring quality, performance, and accountability.

• Coordinate and improve incident, change, and problem management processes in line with ITIL practices

• Ensure clear communication during changes and possible incidents and conduct regular service reviews, increase efficiency and effectiveness of the services

• Oversee SAP platform operations, technical changes, upgrades, performance and capacity management

• Review and approve SAP service requests, provisioning requirements, and technical operational activities

• Coordinate client administration, system copies, refreshes, connectivity, certificates, technical users, interfaces, output management, and transport infrastructure.

• Encourage Business and cross IT collaboration, identify obstacles in service delivery and help teammates to overcome them

• Support ongoing and upcoming projects, changes, and upgrades.

You are a strong communicator, problem solver, and relationship builder with an experience managing SAP. Ideally, you have:

• Experience in SAP Basis, SAP Technical Operations, or SAP Platform Management.

• Strong understanding of SAP landscapes, integrations, transport management, and platform operations.

• Knowledge of IT service management practices

• Experience with supplier management, SLA governance, and service reviews.

• Experience working with external vendors and multi‑supplier environments

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices

• A proactive, organized, and business‑oriented mindset

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams
