Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is hiring a Unit Nurse to supervise unit staff and coordinate resident care with the interdisciplinary team, including families. This temporary part-time role runs for 3 months with potential extension.

The position requires a Registered Practical Nurse with a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, CPR certification, leadership ability and strong customer service. Chinese language skills are a plus.

As a Unit Nurse, the Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for day‑to‑day supervision of staff in the unit and coordination of resident care with interdisciplinary team members as well as communications with families.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending. Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact. Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and short shifts. May be required to work an alternate shift(s) to meet operational needs (e.g., emergency, training, accommodation, etc.) as per scheduling practices.

This is a temporary part time position for 3 months, with possibility of extension.
