Job summary

Pääkaupunkiseudun Kierrätyskeskus Oy is hiring temporary recycling store workers for a new Herttoniemi location in Helsinki. The roles offer a 12‑month paid development period, work in a circular economy environment, and participation in a mandatory job coaching program to support your path to open labor markets.

Job description

We are inviting you to join a community that works for the environment and people.

We are seeking temporary employees for a new recycling store opening in Herttoniemi, Helsinki. Recycling store workers (7 people).

We offer a 12-month paid development period during which you work in the store and donation goods reception, develop your skills in the retail sector within a circular economy environment, and participate in a mandatory job coaching program that supports your path to open labor markets.

The role is a fixed-term employment supported by employment subsidies and requires you to be unemployed and to have Helsinki supplement for the whole employment period.

Your duties include a diverse set of tasks in our recycling stores and donation service point such as customer service, cashier work, pricing, shelving, maintaining general store order, reception and processing of donated goods, and other warehouse tasks.

This role suits you if you want to strengthen your skills and are motivated to progress in your career on the open job market; you have a positive attitude, strong social interaction and teamwork skills, and the ability to work constructively in changing situations in customer service and a diverse work community.

You must be prepared to commit to a year of work and training. Good spoken Finnish is required, English is considered an advantage. Some prior experience in customer service or warehousing is welcome.

You are prepared to work at other locations in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa; your primary workstation is Herttoniemi.

Salary: 1,987.69 €/month plus shift allowances and possible experience allowances.

Start: 21.9. or as agreed.
