This position reports to: R&D Manager
We are now looking for a new R&D Senior Design Engineers to join ABB Distribution Solutions R&D Hardware department team in Vaasa. Our goal is to increase our Hardware development capabilities with these new team members. In these roles, you will work as a part of competent HW development team, developing advanced industrial electronics for protection relay platforms. You will be part of a global and agile R&D organization, working on the front line of distribution automation products. On this role you have opportunity for personal development with modern protection relay portfolio. Additionally, you will cooperate with other functions inside ABB and be involved in every stage of the design process, from requirements to final product testing.
The work model in this role is: hybrid, #LI-Hybrid with weekly presence at the Vaasa office.
Due to the nature of this position, ABB Oy will ask Finnish Security and Intelligence Service (Supo), to perform a standard level security clearance for the hired person.

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant field, such as Information Technology or similar, More than 2 years of experience as a design engineer working with embedded systems (e.g., communication, CPU, or analog electronics), Understanding of EMC and signal integrity, Experience with electronics design and simulation tools, Fluency in spoken and written English, Ability to work independently and as a team player in an agile environment
