Job summary

IQM in Espoo seeks a researcher/engineer to contribute to quantum error correction experiments on superconducting quantum processors. You will develop features for the Quantum Computer Control Software stack and help drive IQM’s roadmap toward scalable, fault‑tolerant quantum computing.

You will calibrate qubits, run experiments, analyze data, and model error processes. Strong Python software skills and a solid grasp of quantum information and QEC theory are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience calibrating qubits and QPUs (superconducting preferred).
  • Experience with quantum error correction experiments and data analysis.
  • Software engineering experience in Python.
  • Understanding of quantum information and QEC theory.
  • Experience with tools for modeling errors in quantum circuits.
  • Familiarity with quantum control hardware.

Job description
