Job summary

Aalto University’s OtaNano - Low Temperature Laboratory in Espoo seeks a Staff Scientist to lead and manage a pioneering quantum-computing infrastructure based on superconducting qubits. You will drive build-up, benchmarking, and sustained operation, collaborating with researchers and partners to realize FiQCI network integration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cryogenic technologies and in controlling superconducting qubits.
• PhD degree in physical/sciences/engineering/computer science or related disciplines.
• Experience in microwave signal processing and hardware firmware knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead building and operation of quantum-computing infrastructure at OtaNano.
• Provide daily experimental and technical support to users of the LTL facilities.
• Train researchers in running quantum algorithms on the quantum computer.
• Collaborate on international funding applications and research initiatives.
