Job summary

Dispelix Oy in Espoo, Finland, is seeking a motivated QC Engineer to strengthen our QC team. You will work as a QC Lead on R&D projects, handling metrology setup, data analysis, and reporting results, with travel to support the China operations as needed.

The role requires an MSc or PhD in optics/physics, strong Matlab/Python skills (C++ a plus), and fluent English. The position is full-time, with flexible work arrangements and a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of metrology tools and methods.
• Create and develop needed scripts to enable the measurements from the beginning until the end of delivering the results and analysis.
• Support remotely and possibly on site the metrology activities in our AR waveguide factory in China as a member of the Espoo QC team.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and result driven QC Engineer to strengthen our Quality Control (QC) team in Espoo, Finland. You will work as a QC Lead in our R&D projects, work hands on with our diverse state-of-the-art AR waveguide metrology equipment, and develop the existing and new setups as well as measurement methods. You will also analyze the measurement results for other members of the R&D project teams. The role requires travelling.

What you will do:

• Participate in R&D projects, create QC plans and execute the plans, including hands-on laboratory measurement work, and reporting the results.
• Participate in development of metrology tools and methods.
• Create and develop needed scripts to enable the measurements from the beginning until the end of delivering the results and analysis.
• Support remotely and possibly on site the metrology activities in our AR waveguide factory in China as a member of the Espoo QC team.

What you bring:

• An MSc or a PhD degree in Optics or Physics (Computer science/Optics/Color science/Machine vision)
• Strong programming skills in Matlab, Python, and maybe C++/C+
• Experience and understanding of data processing/analysis
• Experience with tools and/or methods for efficient measurement procedures
• Fluent English - both written and spoken

Beneficial skills:

• Collaborating and working efficiently with teammates who have diverse backgrounds
• Background in color science
• Knowledge of waveguide/diffractive optics and machine vision
• Experience with optical measurements
