QAQC Manager

Job summary

Turner & Townsend are recruiting an experienced Quality Manager to lead QC for construction projects in our Data Centre team in Oulu, Finland. You will drive QA/QC processes, oversee on-site inspections and ensure compliance with ITPs and client requirements.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors and consultants, recruit QC staff, and manage weekly QA/QC meetings and reporting to support delivery of high-profile data centre projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (beneficial).
• 5 years’ experience in Data Center facility maintenance, operation and/or construction.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word).
• Experience with online document management applications is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• QA/QC qualification or PM experience on large-scale mission-critical projects is preferred.
• Available for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Client’s representative to fulfil the project’s quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Contractors and Consultants on-site.
• Plan and allocate QC resources for on-site and off-site inspections.
• Audit/field inspection of Contractors as requested by Client.
• Review and approve ITP and Checklists.
• Lead on-site quality reviews with Client/Consultant.
• Recruit QC personnel as required and plan witnessing for commissioning.
• Attend weekly Client coordination meetings and vendor kick-off meetings.
• Generate weekly quality reports and QC activity plans.
• Lead QA/QC meetings with Contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure quality dossiers are stored in Client’s documentation system.
• Validate or review As-built drawings produced by Contractors.
• Conduct performance evaluations for QC personnel.

Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in the Nordics area we are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager for construction projects to join our Data Centre team in Oulu, Finland.

Responsibilities

• Close liaison with Client’s representative to fulfil the project’s quality requirements
• Establish and maintain good coordination with Contractors and Consultants on-site
• Plan and allocate QC resources to do witness on-site and off-site inspections proposed by Contractors
• Perform audit/ field inspection to Contractors as requested by the Client
• Review and/ or approve all ITP and Checklist
• Perform site walk with Client and or Consultant to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Recruiting qualified QC personnel as required
• Plan for witnessing the commissioning based on the available resources
• Present the quality related issue to the Client weekly and escape any significant issue for resolution
• Attend & ensure Kick off Meeting of vendors are performed
• Attend weekly coordination meeting with Client, Consultants and Contractors
• Attend specific weekly coordination meeting with Contractors, vendors, consultants and Clients in regard to resolution of technical issues
• Review contractors’ QC resources to ensure they are qualified for inspecting the works
• Generate weekly report of Quality for the Client
• Establish and review weekly QC activity plan of all QC personnel
• Generate and review QC daily report
• Lead QAQC meeting with Contractors weekly
• Lead Internal QAQC meeting with all QC personnel of all projects
• Ensure all quality dossier have been put into Client’s documentation system
• Validate or review the As built drawings generated by Contractors
• Conduct Performance evaluation for all QC personnel as planned

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’ degree in engineering or a related field is considered beneficial for the role
• 5 years’ experience in Data Center facility maintenance, operation and/or construction
• Proficiency with a variety of related computer software applications including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word) is required
• Experience and proficiency with online document management applications is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Manufacturing or industry QAQC formal qualification is preferred
• Consultant PM experience specifically with a background delivering best in class large scale mission critical projects and have a detailed knowledge of Data Centre pre-construction, build to and handover / commissioning as well as post turn over processes
• Availability for on-site work
