Job summary

NextPharma Tampere is seeking an experienced QA Manager – Development to join our Quality organization in Tampere. You will provide QA oversight for late-stage development activities, process validation, technology transfer and commercial readiness.

You and your team (3–4 specialists) collaborate with the Product Development Team and Production. This leadership role combines People skills, strong GMP expertise, scientific understanding, and a collaborative mindset to support development programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry.
• Strong GMP regulations and pharmaceutical quality systems expertise.
• Leadership experience and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience with process validation and late-stage product development.
• Experience supporting technology transfer and commercialization activities.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA professionals within the Development Quality function and coach them.
• Serve as a trusted business partner to cross-functional development teams.
• Provide QA oversight for late-stage development activities and regulatory submissions.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ICH, FDA, EMA and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee validation strategies including process and cleaning validation, Hold Time Studies, and method validation.
• Act as QA representative for technology transfer projects and ensure readiness for commercial manufacturing.
• Promote quality excellence and drive continuous improvement within the development organization.
