Job summary

Wärtsilä Energy Storage in Finland seeks a communicative Purchaser, Project Procurement to join our growing Joint Venture. You will manage procurement activities for assigned energy storage projects, place orders, and coordinate with stakeholders to meet project needs.

Based in Finland with preferred location Vaasa, but open to Helsinki or Turku, you will monitor deliveries, build strong supplier relations, and ensure timely invoicing and processing to support project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Managing procurement activities for assigned projects, including placing purchase orders.
• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring materials and services are delivered on time.
• Maintaining regular communication with suppliers and building effective working relationships.
• Coordinating closely with project teams to support project timelines and requirements.
• Following up on invoices and ensuring accurate and timely processing.

We are seeking a Purchaser, Project Procurement to join our newly forming Joint Venture in a rapidly growing renewable energy market. This is an exciting time for our business as we approach our new Joint Venture recently announced to the market and this role will support our Procurement team as we carve out the business.

We are looking for a communicative and collaborative person for this position. This position is based in Finland and we will consider applicants working from Vaasa as our preferred location but also open to candidates in both Helsinki or Turku also.

The purchaser will be responsible for Energy Storage project procurement needs; working in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders to meet project needs and requirements.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Managing procurement activities for assigned projects, including placing purchase orders and handling order confirmations.
• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring materials and services are delivered on time.
• Maintaining regular communication with suppliers and building effective working relationships.
• Coordinating closely with project teams to support project timelines and requirements.
