Job summary

Lokki Henkilöstöpalvelut Oy seeks an experienced Protection Relay & Commissioning Engineer to join our client's team. You will configure protection relays, perform system testing and lead commissioning across customer projects in Finland.

The role combines project work with on-site commissioning at various Finnish locations; some travel is required, and occasional remote work from home or an office is possible. Onboarding starts in Vaasa.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with protection relays and relay configuration.
• Experience in electrical engineering, protection, automation or commissioning.
• Experience configuring electrical equipment or systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Finland for commissioning assignments.
• Good written and spoken English.

Job description

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Protection Relay & Commissioning Engineer to join their team. The team works with automation and protection solutions for customers electrical networks. In this role, you will work with protection relay configuration, system testing and commissioning activities in customer projects.

The assignment combines project work with commissioning activities at customer sites across Finland. When not travelling to customer sites, the work can be performed remotely or from one of the listed office locations. During the first few weeks of the assignment, presence in Vaasa is required for onboarding and familiarisation with the team and test environment.

Required Skills:

• Background in electrical engineering or a related technical field
• Previous hands-on experience with protection relays and relay configuration
• A few years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, protection, automation or commissioning
• Experience with configuring electrical equipment or systems
• Willingness and ability to travel within Finland for commissioning assignments
• Good written and spoken English

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OMICRON testing equipment/tools
• Previous commissioning experience
• Experience with electrical network protection and automation systems
• Finnish and/or Swedish language skills
