Job summary

Stora Enso in Oulu is seeking a results-oriented Project Manager to join the Product Development team at the Oulu Mill. You will help develop high-quality board packaging materials, collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal teams to drive projects from concept to production.

The role requires a MSc degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of board concepts and fiber materials, and fluency in Finnish and English. Travel to sites and partners will be needed.

Qualifications

• Solid competence and experience in board concept designing and implementation into full-scale operations.
• Good fiber knowledge and understanding of a multi-layer board construction.
• Knowledge in board converting would be an advantage in developing concepts.
• MSc degree and at least 5 years of working experience; Finnish and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, participate in, lead, execute, and report on projects and project activities within product development with input from customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Conduct full-scale trials at BM6 and contribute to bringing new products to life or modifying existing products.
• Collaborate with our diverse customer base, external partners, and internal functions to enhance our product portfolio.
• Report on your own work according to guidelines and present your competence area in internal and external meetings; participate in customer meetings with expertise.
• Assist operations in the defined responsibility area, contributing to the efficient and effective functioning of our production processes.

We are now looking for a results-oriented and innovative team player to actively contribute to our company strategic objectives by joining the Product Development team as Project Manager in Oulu , Finland.

Stora Enso is a global leader in renewable materials with a strong focus on packaging. Our purpose is to replace non-renewable materials with renewable solutions. Product Development unit belongs to the Stora Enso Innovation and R&D organization. This position is located at the Oulu Mill and you will report to the Technical Product Manager FBB & CKB, Oulu Mill.

The Product Development team Oulu is a diverse and multi-disciplinary team belonging to the Group Innovation and R&D organization. We are developing new board and barrier products in line with our customers’ needs. The team acts as a link between sales, factories and research and development.

About the position

We are looking for an innovative partner toassistin the development ofhigh-qualitypackaging materials.The work covers qualifying new and modified productsin accordance withtheproductline’sstrategies.The position holder is also expected to contribute to strategic projects andassistin optimising production processes, as well as product quality.

Responsibilities

• Projects-You will work on project’s at the new board machine 6,(BM6).You will design,participatein, lead, execute, and report on projects and project activitieswithinproduct developmentwith input from customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

• Trials– Conductfull-scaletrialsat BM6, contributing to the process of bringing new products to lifeas well asmodifyingexisting products.

• Collaborattion – Collaboratewith our diverse customer base, external partners, and internal functions to enhance ourproductportfolio.

• Communication -Report on yourown work according to guidelines. Present own work and own competence area in internal and external.Participate incustomer meetings withexpertise.

• Support - Assistoperations in the defined responsibility area, contributing to the efficient and effective functioning of our production processes.

About you
