Job summary

OiTec is seeking a Project Manager to lead test and automation projects in Oulu, coordinating electronics, mechanical and software teams from planning through delivery. You will work closely with customers and multidisciplinary engineers to ensure successful outcomes.

The role emphasizes a practical, proactive PM approach with ownership in technically demanding customer projects. Most work is on-site at our Oulu office, with flexibility when needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated project management experience in engineering projects.
• Experience with electronics and electronic test systems.
• Understanding of industrial automation systems.
• Proven track record from concept to delivery of technical development projects.
• Structured, methodical working style.
• Excellent communication in Finnish and English.
• BSc or MSc in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead test and automation system projects from planning to delivery and closure.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and priorities.
• Coordinate electronics, mechanical, and software engineers within the project.
• Ensure procurement, manufacturing, and integration activities are on schedule.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Test & Automation team in Oulu

As a Project Manager, you will lead test and automation system development projects from planning through execution to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and successfully.

We are seeking a professional who combines technical expertise with a structured approach to project management. You take a practical, proactive approach to solving problems and helping your team succeed.

The typical outcome of our projects is a physical test system or automation solution that integrates electronics, mechanics, and software — delivered to the customer fully operational and ready for use. In this role, you will work closely with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Lead test and automation system projects from planning to delivery and closure
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and priorities
• Coordinate the work of electronics, mechanical, and software engineers within the project
• Ensure procurement, manufacturing, and integration activities are completed on schedule
