Responsibilities

• Oversee sub-supplier delivery and quality follow-ups.
• Act as stand-in for Chief Project Engineers.
• Support site installation and commissioning.

Wärtsilä Energy is looking fora Project Engineer, Electrical. This position is based in Vaasa, Finland,and we offer thepossibility of hybrid remote work.

The main responsibilities for this role are:

• Supporting project and sales teams with project-specific Electrical & Automation design
• Carrying out and coordinating assigned project activities, integration engineering and technical correspondence with internal team members, vendors, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Creating project-specific technical specifications and design requirements for purchasing purposes
• Carrying out sub-supplier delivery and quality follow-ups
• Acting as a stand-in for Chief Project Engineers
• Supporting the site team during installation and commissioning

Development responsibilities for this role are:

• Participating in developing and maintaining tools and work methods in your own responsibility area
• Giving, collecting, and handling feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
• Providing lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in your own responsibility area

For you to shine in this role, we hope that you have the following:

• A BSc. or MSc. in Electrical or Automation Engineering
• An understanding of electrical engineering systems and technical drawings
• Experience in design work, for example in industrial, infrastructure, marine, energy, or similar environments
• A self-driven mindset, teamwork skills, and motivation to learn and grow professionally
• Willingness to travel, as well as the ability to understand and work with diverse cultures
• Work experience in the electrical or automation field is seen as a benefit
• The ability to communicate in English
