Assistant/associate/full professor of sustainable infrastructure
The LUT School of Energy Systems is launching its new Department of Civil Engineering at LUT's Lahti campus in 2026. The professorship of building physics and materials will be located at LUT’s Lahti campus. You will launch research and education in infrastructure and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable built environment.
The professorship will be filled through an open application process, with a fixed four-year term for the assistant/associate professor level or a permanent appointment for the full professor level. A six-month trial period applies.
The salary is determined according to the salary system for university teaching and research personnel. The pay will include an individual pay component based on performance and competence. The gross annual salary ranges from 50,500 to 68,000 euros for assistant/associate professors and 70,000 to 104,800 euros for full professors, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a holiday bonus, generous holiday entitlement, a research incentive scheme, flexible working hours, occupational health care, a collegial work environment, and ongoing support for development.
