Job summary

Eltel Networks Oy in Espoo, Finland, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Data Center team. You will own high-impact procurement processes from bid stage to project execution, coordinating with Engineering, Project Management, QA, Sales and Logistics to optimize supply chains.

The role suits a proactive professional with 3+ years in procurement and a background in building systems or electrical installations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing.
• Background in building systems, electrical installation, or industrial construction.
• Proven track record in subcontractor tendering and competitive bids.
• Solid understanding of datacenter construction and electrical installation methods.
• Professional communication in English.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Procurement Management: lifecycle from sourcing to contract execution.
• Tendering & Subcontracting: issue RFQs for equipment and installation subs.
• Commercial & Technical Evaluation: compare quotes and support supplier selection.
• Material Take-Offs: assist estimators with cable quantities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Engineering, PM, QA, Sales, Logistics, and Legal.
• Supplier Management: maintain procurement records and supplier communications.

Do you want to help deliver the next generation of critical infrastructure? Eltel is now looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our growing Data Center team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional with 3+ years of experience to take ownership of high-impact procurement processes from the bid stage through to successful project execution.

Your key responsibilities

• End-to-End Procurement Management: Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from developing sourcing strategies and RFx activities through supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, and final contract execution.
• Tendering & Subcontracting: Prepare, issue, and manage clear, highly detailed RFQs for equipment suppliers and specialist installation subcontractors.
• Commercial & Technical Evaluation: Review quotations, support technical and commercial comparisons, and drive supplier selection.
• Material Take-Offs: Assist estimators with material and equipment take-offs, including accurate cable quantity estimations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Sales, Logistics, and Legal teams to deliver effective procurement solutions and optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Supplier Management:Maintain clear procurement records, tender registers, and seamless, continuous communication with suppliers and subcontractors.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a technically strong, energetic, and solution-oriented procurement professional who loves velocity, excels in dynamic, fast-moving projects, and wants to grow within a leading infrastructure company.

We expect you to have:

• 3+ years of experience in a procurement, sourcing, or purchasing role.
• Background in building systems (talotekniikka/ MEP), electrical installation, power systems, or complex industrial construction projects.
• Proventrack recordin subcontractor tendering and managing competitive bidding processes with specialist subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of datacenterconstruction, electrical installation methods, and general construction sequencing.
• Professional communication skills with the abilityto workeffectivelyin English.

Desirable Skills (considered an advantage)

• CAD drawings: Ability to read and work with CAD drawings.
• Revit: Experience with Revit.
• Bluebeam Revu: Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu or similar tools.
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in data centers, building system projects, industrial facilities, or large-scale electrical construction projects.
