Job summary

Valmet in Finland is seeking a Senior Process Specialist for the Lifecycle Concepts and Reference Management Function in the Paper and Packaging Business Area. The role focuses on process analysis, digital services, and remote customer support, combining data-driven problem solving with process expertise.

You will support global customers, participate in product and service development, and collaborate across Valmet units.

Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Paper Technology, Data Analytics, or another relevant technical field.
At least 5 years' experience in Pulp, Paper and Board making related industry.
Good IT, automation and data processing skills.
Excellent English communication skills. Finnish and other language skills are beneficial.
Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately once per quarter.

Responsibilities

Remote support for Packaging, Paper and Digital service solution customers in various board and paper making issues.
Technical and process analyses support to Global & Area Organizations in Performance agreement deliveries.
Remote start-up support in different Valmet deliveries.
Sales support for Digital Services and other remote services products.
Internal and external training in Digital Service products and services.
Remote and/or on-site participation in production line studies and test runs.
Participation in new product and service development.
