At Optinova Godby Ab, we develop and manufacture advanced polymer tubing and components for medical applications. We are looking for a Process Engineer to work at the intersection of customer needs, product development and manufacturing.
Would you like to turn customer ideas into working products while contributing to the development of future manufacturing processes?
We recognize that this is a broad and multifaceted role - turning customer ideas into working products while contributing to the development of future manufacturing processes —and that is intentional. Your primary focus will be polymer technology and the prototyping of new products, while serving as the technical link between R&D and production. A thorough understanding of our manufacturing processes will be essential to translating development work into robust, scalable solutions. By combining hands‑on prototyping with long‑term technical development, you will help shape both our future products and the processes used to manufacture them.
You will act as a technical link between customers, our sales team and production. You will assess customer requests from a technical and polymer technology perspective, identify manufacturing opportunities, and lead prototyping activities.
By planning, conducting and evaluating prototype trials, you will build knowledge of materials, product properties and manufacturing processes. You will use these insights to develop new solutions and improve existing processes, such as extrusion, with a focus on quality, process stability and efficiency.
We value your understanding of materials and industrial manufacturing processes, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and ability to bridge technical and commercial discussions. A practical, solution‑oriented approach and an interest in both product development and process improvement are essential. You have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy solving problems involving materials, product requirements and manufacturing processes.
A varied and rewarding role combining technical problem‑solving, customer collaboration and hands‑on product development. You will have the opportunity to influence products from initial technical assessment through prototyping to series production, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes.
Interested in turning new ideas into customer solutions and better manufacturing processes? We look forward to hearing from you.
Application deadline: 15th of November.
