Role and salaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcherto work full-time in the field of Operator Theory and Complex Analysis. The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct research as part of the Research Council of Finland project “Spectral and Asymptotic Analysis of Structured Matrices and Operators.” The project focuses on the spectral theory and asymptotic analysis of structured matrices and operators, Crouzeix theory and numerical ranges, as well as applications to mathematical physics and random matrix theory.
As our new Postdoctoral Researcher, your main responsibilities will include:
The position will be filled for a fixed term of two years as from 1 November 2026 (or starting date as agreed)due to the position pertaining to a specific project task. A trial period is applied to all new members of the staff.
The salary of the position is determined in accordance with the salary system for Finnish universities. The salary comprises two components: a job-related salary element and a personal salary element. For a Postdoctoral Researcher, the job-related salary element is based on level 5 of the job requirement level chart for teaching and research staff. The personal salary element is 6–50% of the job-related salary element. At the beginning of the employment, the total salary will be approximatelyEUR 3,985 – 4,190 /month.
