Job summary

University of Eastern Finland invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Gene regulation and Single cell genomics at the Kuopio Campus. The 3-year term will start 1 January 2027, focusing on deciphering regulatory networks in leukemia and immune cells and integrating multi-omics data.

You will collaborate with an international team of experts in leukemia biology, computational biology and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in a field relevant to the proposed project.
• Excellent/good skills in oral and written English.
• Formal background in molecular biology or related fields.
• Practical experience with genomics and bioinformatics methods.
• Solid knowledge of single cell omics technologies and data analysis.
• Strong research record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct genomics-based studies related to leukemia biology and immunology.
• Benchmark and develop genomics and single cell methodology.
• Report and publish high-quality scientific results.
• Participate in preparation of research proposals in the field.
• Co-supervise PhD students and potentially teach undergraduate courses.
