Job summary

The University of Eastern Finland invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Gene regulation and Single cell genomics, hosted by the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, on the Kuopio Campus. The 3-year term begins 1 January 2027 (or as agreed).

The role focuses on generating and integrating multi-omics data to unravel regulatory networks in immune/leukemia cells. You will collaborate with an international team of experts and contribute to publications, grant

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a field relevant to the proposed project.
• Excellent/good English skills; English is the language of instruction.
• Formal background in molecular biology or related fields.
• Practical experience with genomics and bioinformatics methods.
• Solid knowledge of single cell omics technologies and data analysis.
• Strong research record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct genomics-based studies related to leukemia biology and immunology.
• Benchmark and develop genomics and single cell methodology.
• Report and publish high-quality scientific papers.
• Participate in preparation of research proposals in your field.
• Co-supervise PhD students; potential to teach at undergraduate level.
