Job summary

The Finnish Museum of Natural History LUOMUS at the University of Helsinki invites applications for a fixed-term Postdoctoral Researcher position in IsoMuseomics (Stable Isotopes) based at LUOMUS, Helsinki, Finland. The preferred starting date is ideally from January 2027.

Responsibilities include collecting time-series data, establishing historical climate datasets, analysing stable isotope data, interpreting isotope patterns in ecological contexts, and contributing to manuscript writing.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree relevant to the project.

Responsibilities

• Collect meteorological and phenological time-series from FMI open records (1844–present).
• Establish historical climate and environmental reference datasets.
• Analyse stable isotope data (nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen).
• Interpret isotope patterns in ecological contexts using statistics.
• Contribute to manuscript writing.
