Job description

We are looking for a Pool Water Treatment Specialist to join our expert team working on exciting projects in the cruise ship industry.In this role, youll be part of Comatec Industrial and Marine Oy, a company within the Comatec Group. Our expertise spans marine industry components and systems, various ship types in the shipbuilding sector, machinery and equipment for the process industry, and automation and electrical systems for both manufacturing and marine environments.As a Pool Water Treatment Specialist, youll play a key role in cruise ship projects. Youll be responsible for pool water treatment systems, including the related equipment and piping in spa areas. Ensuring compliance with USPH (United States Public Health) specifications and classification rules is an essential part of your responsibilities.Youll collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and material suppliers, acting as a vital link in communication and coordination. In this position, youll also contribute to the development of future solutions, working hand in hand with colleagues and stakeholders across the value chain.What were looking for:- A Bachelor’s or Masters degree in process engineering, marine engineering, or a relevant field.- Solid experience in water treatment chemistry.- Strong understanding of pool water chemistry, including water analysis and chemical dosing.- Familiarity with filtration methods, pumps, piping, instruments, and other pool-related equipment, along with knowledge of suitable materials.- Prior experience with USPH rules is considered a strong advantage.- A proactive, solution-focused approach and good teamwork skills.- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Finnish language skills are a plus.- Willingness to travel for short periods.The position is based in Turku, Finland.
