Job summary

University of Turku is seeking a Doctoral Researcher to work on security enhancement and protection of LLMs as part of a Horizon Europe project. The role includes theoretical research, collaboration with leading European universities and industrial partners, supervision of students, and engagement in proposal writing and publishing.

The position is fully funded, with competitive salary levels under the Finnish university system (OV02-OV04), and the starting date is negotiable with a contract

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field is required.
• Solid foundation in theoretical machine learning or applied cryptography.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement theoretical cryptographic protocols with verifiability and robust defenses.
• Collaborate with European universities and industrial partners on security research.
• Participate in project implementation and reporting activities.
