Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Eligible for Aalto Doctoral Programme in Chemical Engineering.
• Doctoral studies at Aalto University take approximately four years.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Good understanding of mechanistic process modeling, phase equilibria, reaction engineering, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop dynamic models for trickle bed reactors based on literature.
• Collect and critically analyze relevant literature.
• Build models including material and energy balances, reaction kinetics, mass/heat transfer, phase equilibria, fluid flow, and process control.
• Collaborate with group members and external partners to achieve project goals.
• Present research findings at conferences and publish results in peer‑reviewed journals.
