Job summary

The role

This is a full‑time position, with a start date as soon as possible. You can work hybrid or on‑site in Jakobstad. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for payroll processes for a portfolio of client companies. You’ll ensure payroll is accurate, timely and compliant, while also acting as a trusted contact for payroll‑related questions.

Tasks include:

• End‑to‑end payroll processing for client companies
• Handling employment contracts, changes and terminations
• Managing statutory reporting and compliance (taxes, pensions, authorities)
• Responding to client questions related to payroll and employment matters
• Maintaining payroll documentation and records
• Participating in the development and automation of payroll processes

What we look for

We are looking for someone who can independently handle accounting while also being curious and proactive about improving processes. Some of the things we like to see:

• Relevant education or experience in payroll administration
• Strong knowledge of Finnish payroll legislation and practices
• Strong communication skills in Finnish and Swedish; all other languages are a plus
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work
• A structured, curious and solution‑oriented mindset
