Overview

Vantaan ammattiopisto Varia seeks a full‑time IT and ICT tutor for Koivukylä, starting 01.01.2026 for day and evening instruction. The position involves travel within the Vantaa area to multiple campuses.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the following study modules: Technical Support Service operations, Fundamentals of Information and Communication Technology, ICT solution sales, eSports (competitive gaming), and English-language instruction in the IBCB course Service Learning / Community Engagement.
• Provide guidance and personalisation tasks in both school settings and partner workplaces, in addition to delivering professional content.
• Participate in the development of education and plan alternative teaching methods.

Eligibility and requirements

• Required: Eligibility as per the Decree on qualifications of teaching personnel 986/1998.
• Additionally required: Experience in a servicedesk/helpdesk, especially in customer service and process development, familiarity with ticketing systems; certification to teach IBCB and IBCP in Service Learning / Community Engagement; international experience; ability to teach a part of the basic qualification in Finnish and a part of IBCP in English.
• Preferred: Problem solving ability, experience with young people, knowledge of information security and protection; familiarity with student management and learning analytics systems (Moodle, ItsLearning, Workseed).
