Job summary

Fredman Operations Oy in Finland seeks a Production Planner to take responsibility for planning at the Rauma factory and for developing production processes. You will ensure smooth production in collaboration with production, procurement, logistics, product development and sales.

You will influence delivery reliability, production efficiency and customer satisfaction as the business grows, and you will report to the Production Manager while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Technical/production education or related field required.
• Experience in process, food or discrete manufacturing production and planning.
• Experience with production control systems.
• Ability to manage holistic tasks and make decisions in changing situations.
• Analytical and systematic work approach.
• Good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Plan for the Rauma plant (rough and detailed planning) and scheduling to optimize capacity.
• Coordinate scheduling, capacity and resources for high delivery reliability.
• Secure raw material availability with procurement.
• Monitor production performance, report metrics and analyze targets.
• Act as main user of production control systems and train staff.
• Draft and maintain production instructions with the production manager.
• Propose development and improvement ideas with the production manager.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, product development, maintenance, warehouse and sales.

Do you want to play a key role in a Finnish growth company to ensure that our production operates efficiently, with high quality and in line with our customer promise? With the retirement of the current production planner, we are seeking a new person to take responsibility for planning at the Rauma factory and for developing production. As a production planner you will be responsible for production planning and ensuring smooth production in collaboration with production, procurement, logistics, product development and sales. You will have the opportunity to contribute to production development and to ensure efficient use of resources in changing conditions. Your supervisor is the Production Manager.

In this role you will influence delivery reliability, production efficiency and customer satisfaction, supporting business growth.

Responsibilities

• planning for the Rauma plant (rough and detailed planning) and scheduling to ensure capacity and optimal use of resources, both day-to-day and long-term


• coordinating scheduling, capacity and resources to ensure high delivery reliability


• securing raw material availability together with procurement


• monitoring production performance, reporting metrics and analyzing targets


• acting as the main user of production control systems and training production staff in their use


• drafting and maintaining production instructions in collaboration with the production manager


• reacting to deviations and ensuring continuity in changing conditions


• proposing development solutions and improvement proposals with the production manager and other parts of the organization


• close cooperation with the production, procurement, product development, maintenance, warehouse, sales and other stakeholders to ensure smooth production
