Qualifications

  • Eligible to work and live in Finland (Vaasa).
  • Strong knowledge of control systems, automation, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, PLC code generation.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken. Finnish and Swedish are beneficial.

Overview

We are looking for a responsible Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join us on our journey toward zero-emission shipping!


What you will do


  • Perform simulations and deliver simulation data within specified timelines

  • Provide technical support to stakeholders and keep our simulation tools and methods up to date

  • Model parametrizable, modular systems and system components

  • Develop modelling & simulation architecture, methods, and scopes

  • Convert modelled blocks and system to PLC code (structured text) and validate functionality


Our requirements


  • Eligible to work and live in Finland (Vaasa)

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical or Automation engineering

  • Strong knowledge of control systems, automation, and technical documentation

  • Understanding of Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, PLC code generation, and PLC programming

  • Excellence in team working and communication in multicultural environments

  • Ability to take responsibility and make decisions independently

  • Fluency in English, written and spoken. Finnish and Swedish language skills are beneficial


Previous experience of working with drives is seen as an advantage, as well as marine and power systems experience. Knowledge of electrical systems and drive technology is seen as a great benefit.
