Job summary

Voodoo in Helsinki is seeking a dedicated Game Designer to join Paper Party, the multiplayer mode of Paper.io2, to improve existing modes and create new ones from scratch.

You will explore new rules, objectives, win conditions, pacing and team setups to deliver a broad range of fun, replayable multiplayer experiences. This hands-on role moves ideas quickly to prototypes, tests, and improvements in Unity, with strong ownership of your designs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mobile F2P games.
• Experience shipping player-facing content in mobile games.
• Strong understanding of multiplayer and competitive gameplay.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype new gameplay modes
• Improve existing Paper Party modes
• Define simple, readable rules for one-finger controls
• Iterate quickly through testing, feedback and playtests
• Balance accessibility, competition, pacing and replayability
• Identify weak ideas early and confidently cut or reshape them
• Work closely with the Paper.io 2 team to turn concepts into playable experiences
• Document your designs clearly
• Fine-tune modes directly in Unity whenever possible
