Job summary

The CANPACK Group is recruiting a Mechanic for our Hämeenlinna beverage can factory. You will ensure high availability and reliability of production machinery through routine maintenance, repair work, and diagnostics.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, working with a team, and willingness to work in shifts to keep lines running smoothly. We value hands-on experience, a vocational background in mechanics, and ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Vocational education in mechanics or machine construction.
• Prior experience or willingness to learn basic machining and welding tasks.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Ability to analyze and fix machinery breakdowns.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical tasks: installation, maintenance, and repair of faulty mechanical systems, assemblies, or parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Monitor equipment’s’ condition and report irregularities
• Working with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Document completed maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance procedures.

We are looking for a Mechanic to join to our beverage can factory team in Hämeenlinna.

Mechanic

Mechanics ensure high availability and reliability of production machinery and equipment through ongoing technical support, performing repairs, conducting maintenance, and diagnostics.

Main responsibilities:

• Perform routine mechanical tasks: installation, maintenance, and repair of faulty mechanical systems, assemblies, or parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Monitor equipment’s’ condition and report irregularities
• Working with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Document completed maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance procedures.

Our expectations:

• Vocational education, preferably in mechanics or machine construction.
• Prior experience working in a similar position, but we welcome applicants who are ready to learn and grow into the role.
• Prior experience or willingness to learn basic machining and welding tasks
• You are comfortable communicating in English.
• You can analyze and fix machinery breakdowns
• You can work independently when solving problems
• You are ready to work in shifts.
