Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Marketing Manager for Automation Solutions to develop and execute commercially focused marketing that builds awareness, generates demand, and supports pipeline across global markets. The position is based at Valmet's Tampere office in Finland as a fixed-term role from November 2026 to September 2028.

You will translate business objectives into marketing plans, create sales-enabled content, and lead demand-generation campaigns with cross-functional teams.

Marketing Manager, Automation Solutions (Fixed-Term Position)

Are you an experienced B2B marketer eager to make a real impact? We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join Valmet’s global Automation Solutions marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing commercially focused marketing that builds awareness, generates demand, supports pipeline development and helps sales succeed across global markets. The position is based at Valmet’s Tampere office in Finland. This is a fixed-term position, expected to begin in November 2026 and end in September 2028.

Your key responsibilities

• Turn business objectives into commercial marketing plans: Work closely with business management and sales to identify growth priorities, target customer segments and marketing opportunities, and translate them into concrete marketing plans, campaigns and measurable objectives.
• Create commercially relevant content and sales enablement: Translate complex technical offerings and customer needs into value propositions, campaign content, customer-facing materials and sales tools that support different stages of the buying journey.
• Own demand-generation campaigns: Plan and execute integrated B2B campaigns across digital channels, with responsibility for audience targeting, campaign execution, lead generation, optimization and results.
• Measure marketing contribution: Define relevant KPIs, analyze campaigns, lead and funnel performance, and use data to make recommendations about content, channels, targeting and marketing investment.
• Event marketing: Plan and coordinate marketing for online and onsite events, including audience acquisition, campaign integration, lead capture, sales follow-up and post-event measurement. The position includes travelling.

What we’re looking for

• Commercial understanding: Demonstrated ability to work with sales and business management, understand commercial priorities, identify target audiences and convert business objectives into actionable marketing programs.
• Strong B2B digital marketing experience: At least five years of B2B digital marketing experience, including substantial up-to-date experience in planning and executing campaigns that drive measurable engagement, leads and sales opportunities.
• Marketing automation capability: Hands‑on experience using marketing automation platforms for campaign management, segmentation, lead nurturing, reporting and sales collaboration.
• Marketing measurement skills: Experience defining campaign KPIs and using funnel, campaign and lead‑performance data to evaluate marketing effectiveness and improve future activities.
• Content and value‑proposition skills: Ability to turn complex technical solutions into clear customer value propositions, campaign messages and sales‑enablement materials.
• Project and stakeholder management: Proven ability to take ownership of multiple marketing initiatives and coordinate campaigns with business leaders, sales teams, marketing specialists and external partners in a global organization.
• Communication and continuous development: Strong English communication skills and a proactive approach to developing your marketing capabilities, including effective use of AI, analytics and emerging marketing technologies.
