This is a chance to combine hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, making a direct impact on both our product and our customers.

You’ll play a key role in the Engineering management team, shaping decisions that strengthen Sympa as a leading global HR solution. Reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer, you’ll be working with several agile development teams by supporting them in building scalable and powerful QA setup that enables them to deliver high-quality software. What you’ll do every day
  • Lead all aspects of Sympa’s Quality Assurance, covering technical, project, process, and people management.

  • Continuously improve QA processes and documentation, and work closely with other teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of development
  • Recommend and implement the right tools to track testing progress and results effectively.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure all product quality and testing needs are met, providing regular status updates during testing cycles.
  • Support and develop your team of QA professionals, helping each member grow their expertise in ways that fit their individual strengths and career goals.
  • Guide the creation, improvement, and execution of solid test plans and daily/weekly checklists.
  • Manage budget forecasting and resource planning for the QA function.
  • Recruit and onboard new QA Engineers when needed.
  • Take ownership of QA performance metrics and ensure they are used to drive improvements.

Sympa is striving for fast international growth while maintaining the agility of a small business, which shapes our work culture. Decisions are made fast, with a flat hierarchy. • To work at a modern, international and fast-growing company and collaborate with people from other countries on a daily basis.
  • The chance to make your mark on our journey.

  • Strong background in quality assurance and modern web application testing, including test management and planning.
  • Experience in building efficient agile teams and improving ways of working across software development.
  • Hands-on expertise in automated testing at scale, including designing, planning, and maintaining automated tests (e.g. Test Pyramid, mocking data).
  • Practical experience with UI test automation frameworks (such as Robot Framework, Browser/Playwright) and a variety of testing tools for reporting and dashboards.
  • Understanding of QA processes and tools, and experience selecting, setting up, or improving them.
  • Understanding of web development practices (e.g. version control, branching, releases) and agile SDLC.
  • API, integration, load, and performance testing experience.
  • CI/CD know-how (e.g. GitHub Actions).
  • Coding skills (Python, JavaScript, or C#) are an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and strong interpersonal skills
