The successful candidate will lead growth strategies, oversee a team, and collaborate on enhancing service and sales capabilities in a dynamic environment.
The candidate application data is kept on the career site servers and sent en-mass back to the Workday tenant when the user clicks submit on the last step. Once the user hits submit, we make POST requests with that data to multiple REST end-points sending the job application back to the Workday tenant). The system will clear out / time out after 60 minutes of inactivity (for records that were not submitted back to Workday)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our Paper Daily Spares business. In this role, you will drive the growth and profitability of our global board and paper machine spare part business. Success will come from developing growth plans and building proactive sales capabilities in collaboration with Area Sales. Your key responsibilities include enhancing our product and data management practices to support future lifecycle service and sales growth. You will report to the Director, Spare Parts and Field Services.
Spare parts and Field Services are part of the Performance Parts and Field Services Technology Unit under the Packaging and Paper Services Business. We are committed to delivering reliability and convenience with high quality spare parts and services to board and paper industry customers globally.
Your location can be one of the main locations in Finland (Tikkurila, Jyväskylä or Tampere).
Achieve financial targets for Paper Daily Spares business
Implement global Spare Parts and Field Services strategy
Build proactive sales capabilities and enable Area Sales to drive market share growth
Drive product cost competitiveness improvement together with Global Supply Unit
Lead and develop product management and new product development activities
Enhance product and installed base data for data-driven sales and service capabilities
Support global business process development for improved productivity, speed and customer experience
Manage a team of Global Technology Managers and lead the team through change by championing and embedding Valmet’s new operational model, fostering a culture that embraces transformation
You will identify growth opportunities and support Area Sales in key customer activities. You will lead Global Technology Managers, set targets, support their professional development, and ensure work safety. We seek a leader to drive growth, develop the business, and implement our new strategy.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering/technology , business or another relevant field
Minimum of 5 years of service business experience related to business or technology management with proven results in a global environment
Strong knowledge of board and paper machine technologies and equipment, including stock preparation, finishing, air and chemical systems
Leadership experience with global profit and loss responsibility
Experience in sales and customer management
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with excellent presentation skills
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
Willingness to travel internationally for 60-80 days annually
