We have an Exciting Manager Role in Financial Reporting & Master Data at Valmet!

Valmet Operational Finance is expanding globally and now looking for an enthusiastic and energetic finance professional to take a manager role in the area of Financial Reporting and Master Data. Valmet Operational Finance is a center of excellence with over 200 dedicated colleagues around the world. We are responsible for Valmet's operative accounting and invest heavily in process harmonization and software automation. The Financial Reporting team leads process and system improvements within Valmet's Record-to-Report area. The team is responsible for transferring and reconciling financial data from accounting systems to the reporting layer and delivering Valmet's financial data to Valmet group systems. In addition to monthly reporting tasks, the team ensures financial data quality by providing expertise in accounting and reporting to business partners and the Global Finance Organization. The team also manages key financial structures and master data.

Responsibilities
  • Own and develop Financial Reporting processes, ensuring workflow efficiency, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage financial master data, integrations, and related processes.
  • Process owner and executor for assigned process areas including process workflow, quality, compliance and process development
  • Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, ensuring short- and long-term expertise.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to support effective team performance
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of Valmet's financials.
  • Identify gaps and requirements in solutions and lead change management.
  • Advise stakeholders on accounting and reporting matters.
  • Collaborate closely with Business and Group Finance, building strong networks across the organization.
  • Drive development aligned with industry trends and lead change initiatives.
To succeed this role, you will need:
  • Master's Degree in Finance or equivalent
  • Proven leadership experience (5+ years) in finance roles
  • Strong background in developing and managing finance processes, tools, and organizations—preferably in a publicly listed international company
  • Deep expertise in finance systems (HFM, SAP, LN are a plus)
  • Excellent presentation, communication and networking skills
  • Experience in business transformation and transitions is an advantage
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, identify priorities, and maintain team motivation
  • Experience in coaching and developing team competencies
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proactive approach to cross-functional collaboration
  • Willingness to travel
