Overview

Are you passionate about leading engineering teams and guiding them on complex EI&C projects? Join Valmet as Manager, EI&C Engineering and help shape the future of Pulp, Energy and Circularity. You will lead EI&C to support the Project Execution team within the PEC Process and EI&C Engineering Management Team, based in Finland. You will work with global teams and contribute to strategic development and continuous improvement, including harmonization of ways of working across locations.

You will lead EI&C Finland project execution, manage resources, and ensure cost estimation, scheduling, and quality assurance of engineering activities. You will mentor and guide your team to meet project goals and collaborate with other managers, TU and BU teams within the PEC business line.

Responsibilities

• Lead EI&C Finland project execution and manage EI&C resources across projects.
• Ensure harmonized ways of working across team members and global collaboration with other locations.
• Oversee cost estimation, scheduling, and quality assurance of engineering activities.
• Mentor and guide team members to meet project goals.
• Support delivery projects and sales phases, including resourcing and participating in design reviews.
• Coordinate deviations from product standards within EI&C disciplines.
• Report to the Senior Manager, Process and EI&C Engineering and collaborate with PEC Process and EI&C Engineering Management Team, as well as TUs and BUs within PEC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a suitable engineering field.
• Extensive experience in EI&C engineering, preferably within the pulp and energy sector.
• Strong leadership, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a Global Scenario.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and guide teams.
• Proficiency in English language; Finnish is a differential.
• Readiness to travel.
