Verne is building a centralized, 24/7 control center to oversee and optimise global datacenter operations from Helsinki. The role leads the development of processes, tooling, and governance for a high-availability environment, aligning with international teams and customer service for top-tier service delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in datacenter ops, strong leadership, and proven ability to document and improve operational workflows, while leveraging AI tools to boost productivity.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontracted control centers, establish and refine operational processes, and evaluate their performance.
• Maintain and produce process descriptions and operational documents necessary to perform operational work efficiently.
• Train relevant teams, execute regular drills and ensure high-end incident response capability.
• Own and manage the operational toolset used to monitor and control our datacenters, along with the associated support processes.
• Lead a virtual team to design, develop, and continuously optimize operational processes and tools that deliver a world-class experience for our colocation customers.
• Collaborate closely with teams responsible for technical operations and customer service to ensure seamless, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

Job Title: Manager, Control Center and Processes
Salary: 8,000 - 9,000 Euro Per Month

Role Overview

• You will build and lead a centralized, outsourced operational control center that provides around-the-clock supervision of our global datacenter operations.
• You will ensure that the Control Center and ongoing operations maintain current operational procedure documents and processes, enabling work to be performed efficiently and with disciplined adherence to standards.
• You will define and execute the roadmap for establishing a robust operational support function that provides 24/7 control and visibility of datacenter assets across all operating countries.
• You will develop a clear vision for the target landscape of tools and processes, collaborating closely with our international team to bring it to life.

Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in datacenter operations and management or from other mission critical environment running 24x7 operations.
• Strong expertise in running operational processes and in continuous service management environments running 24x7
• Previous exposure to our monitoring tools BMS systems, facility monitoring, ServiceNOW, Nlyte, and Fiix or other similar DCIM platforms
• Proven experience in developing and optimizing operational processes.
• Demonstrates strong documentation capabilities and proficiency in enhancing productivity via the effective application of AI tools.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working effectively within international and cross-functional teams.
