Job summary

UPM Next Generation Renewables seeks a Manager, Business Control to drive financial performance for industrial biorefineries in Leuna, Germany, and Lappeenranta, Finland, with locations in Tampere/Helsinki, Finland. You will lead cost visibility and budgeting initiatives, develop control processes and collaborate with refinery leadership to support strategic investments.

The role requires 5+ years in business controlling, ERP experience (S/4HANA), strong financial modelling and data

Qualifications

5+ years in business controlling, preferably in industrial or manufacturing
Experience with ERP systems and financial planning processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive and able to develop processes and tools
Fluent in written and spoken English; Finnish and German are assets

Responsibilities

Drive operational profitability with cost visibility and analytics, focusing on fixed-cost planning and optimization
Lead development of business control processes, reporting solutions and digital tools to improve data quality and decision speed
Act as a partner to refinery management in investment and development decisions
Forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning translating operational assumptions into financial targets
Strengthen internal controls in a complex industrial environment
