Job summary

Valmet is seeking a talented AI leader to join the PEC Business Area in Tampere. You will help shape how Artificial Intelligence is applied across the business, building a structured approach to identifying, prioritizing and implementing AI opportunities while driving collaboration across a global organization.

Working in the PEC Business Area's Strategy and Business Development function, you will build a structured approach to identifying , prioritizing and implementing AI opportunities while driving collaboration across a global organization.

Your responsibilities

• Drive and coordinate AI initiatives from ideas to implementation, ensuring opportunities are turned into practical solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Identify, ev aluate, prioritize, and develop AI use cases across customer service, engineering, product development, operations, and other business functions.
• Develop and maintain a structured roadmap for AI adoption aligned with business obje ctives and strategic priorities.
• Build and m aintain a strong internal network to connect stakeholders, share best practices, and accelerate the adoption of new technologies across the organization.
• Stay up to date with developments in AI ( especially GenAI and agen tic AI) and related technologies, assessing their relevance and potential impact on the business.

What we expect from you

• You have a master's degree in information management , c omputer s cience or a related field.
• You have genuine interest and hands‑on experience in applying AI in a business environment.
• Minimum five years of e xperience in applying AI , digital transformation or advanced analytics within process industries, manufacturing, industrial services, or customer service environments.
• You understand how to connect business needs with artificial intelligence and translate ideas into actionable initiatives.
• You have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Finnish and/or Swedish is considered as an advantage .
