Job summary

The Barö Hotel is seeking a dedicated maintenance/operations assistant to ensure safe, clean, and efficient daily operations across the property. You will help with outdoor areas, basic repairs, and routine maintenance while coordinating with staff to support guests and colleagues.

Daytime, weekday and weekend shifts operate in a hands-on role focused on keeping facilities in good condition, responding quickly to issues, and assisting with loading, unloading and guest-related tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Customer safety and outdoor areas: Daily cleaning of yard and parking areas, winter snow removal, and active slip prevention to guarantee a safe environment for visitors.
• Property technology and repairs: Monitoring the operation of technical equipment in customer and workspaces, performing basic maintenance, and handling everyday minor repairs with a fast response time.
• Annual maintenance management: Monitoring and executing the property’s planned annual maintenance (e.g., ventilation, filter changes, fire safety equipment), and coordinating potential external maintenance services.
• Cleaning and maintaining tidiness: Cleaning and organizing tasks in common areas together with other staff.
• Other operational activities: Other duties specifically assigned by the employer/supervisor (e.g., receiving goods, moving furniture, and assisting customers or other staff in everyday situations).
